Full review | original score: There is evidence pointing to rusty but it is circumstantial. The author allows his expertise to shine and the courtroom scenes are realistic.

Saw the presumed innocent movie several years ago (harrison ford at his peak) and loved it. I dont read many courtroom thrillers, but after reading presumed innocent i think i need to add some more to my reading list! Presumed innocent is a labyrinthian thriller with some clever twists and a cast as impressive as the story itself.

Presumed innocent, turow's first published novel, picks up on some of the same concerns as the autobiographical one l (1977). That being said, when i was offered the chance to review, and revisit, presumed innocent, by scott turow, i found myself excited at the chance to read this courtroom thriller again! Harrison ford plays the cheating prosecutor that is drawn into a murder probe when a colleague is murdered and the evidence points in his direction.

It fascinated me how turow set up his clues starting on. I had read a few other very different books beforehand, and was really keen to read something with a well structured plot. The beauty of this book is the courtroom drama.

The audience i was with watched it with a hush. This is a legal thriller, and a few friends questioned why i was reading a legal thriller while also studying for the bar. Presumed innocent was first on a list of best thrillers published by the times, so i thought i would give it a go.

It is about a prosecutor charged with the murder of his colleague, an attractive and intelligent prosecutor named carolyn polhemus. A motion picture adaptation starring harrison ford was released in 1990.
